Manchester Islamic Grammar School for Girls is an independent all girls 11 – 16 secondary school located to the south-east of Manchester City Centre, in Chorlton. We will be relocating to Didsbury, Fielden Campus Barlow Moor Road, Manchester M20 2DY from 1st September 2023. We are a thriving relatively small school of approximately 240 students, and have been rated outstanding at our last three inspections. Science is taught in small groups of students who are respectful, responsive and eager to learn.

We follow the Manchester City Council calendar for term dates, but additional leave of 5 days for Ramadhan, 2 days for each Eid, one the Day of Arafat and 5 days for Hajj, according to the policy guidelines respectively is offered where these festivals occur during term time. Chorlton is a vibrant area and has easy access to the tram and bus station.

Criminal convictions will not automatically exclude you from being considered unless they fall within the threshold of being relevant and unsuitability, and will be considered on a case by case basis or as defined by the Department for Education.
