We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team in delivering high-quality education to students. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching.

Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment- Assess and monitor student progress- Provide constructive feedback to students- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum- Participate in school events and meetings.

Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in English or related field- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification- Proven experience in teaching English language and literature- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to inspire and motivate students- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail- Familiarity with current online teaching methods and educational best practices desirable.

Manchester Islamic Grammar School for Girls is an independent all girls 11 – 16 secondary school located in the Fielden Campus West Didsbury Manchester, M20 2PQ. West Didsbury is an affluent suburb in the South of Manchester and is perfectly located within easy access from the city centre, whilst balancing a cosmopolitan yet village atmosphere. Didsbury is a vibrant area and has easy access to the tram and bus routes.

We are a relatively small school of approximately 240 students, and have been rated outstanding at our last three inspections. English is taught in small groups of students who are respectful, responsive and eager to learn.

We follow the Manchester City Council calendar for term dates and school closures. We value our staff and commitment to our ethos, so all staff are provided with additional paid leave for the last 5 days of Ramadhan, two days for Eid and for the Day of Arafat where these festivals occur during term time. In addition to this all staff who travel for Hajj for first time at the school are also given 5 days paid leave.
