The Admissions Process
Our main intake is in September. New students can also join at any time during the academic year if places are available.
Every applicant sits an entrance examination. A place is offered only after a successful exam result and an interview with the Headteacher.
Open Evening
Visit the school, meet staff and see lessons in action. This is the best first step before you complete a registration form.
Register and apply
Complete the registration form, attach proof of your daughter’s date of birth (birth certificate or passport information page) and pay the £60.00 inc VAT registration fee by BACS. Email the pack to admin@migsg.miet.uk or hand it in at the school office.
Year 7 entrance exam
All students sit an entrance examination so we can assess attainment and confirm the academic standard required for entry.
Interview week
Successful candidates are invited to an interview with the Head Teacher. Entry is achieved by passing the entrance exam together with this interview.
Year 7 offers emailed
Parents are informed of the outcome by email. If a place is offered, please follow the instructions in the offer letter.
Deadline to accept a place
Accept the offer by this date to confirm your daughter’s Year 7 place for September 2027.
Taster Day
Joining girls spend a day in school so they can meet their peers and feel confident before the September start.
What to send with the form
- Completed registration form (download below).
- Proof of date of birth — a copy of the birth certificate or the information page of her passport.
- Registration fee of £60.00 inc VAT, payable by BACS only.
- Email to admin@migsg.miet.uk or submit at the school office by Monday 30 November 2026.
