Safeguarding at MIGSG

by | Apr 17, 2025

At Manchester Islamic Grammar School for Girls (MIGSG), the safety and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority. We are fully committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where all students feel valued, respected, and protected from harm.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and all our staff receive regular training to ensure they are confident in recognising and responding to any concerns. We follow robust policies and procedures in line with national guidance to ensure the welfare of every student is promoted at all times.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and safeguarding team are available to support students, staff, and families with any concerns. If you have a safeguarding concern or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us via the school office.

Together, we work to create a school environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive in safety.

School Counsellor Support

We are pleased to offer a dedicated School Counsellor as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting students’ wellbeing. Our counsellor provides a safe, confidential space for students to talk through any challenges they may be facing, whether personal, emotional, or academic.

If you feel your daughter would benefit from speaking with the school counsellor, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Parents can make a referral by contacting their daughter’s head of Year
